"and I'm 29 years old, and I'm a million miles away" soon I can sing that awesome line without lying :3

It's probably both, a play on words.

I'm pretty sure it's tears, not tears.

That would make sense but he also says the words "tiny tears" as in a rip in something right in the lyrics.

I think it's tears as in ears. Due to the lyrics about "baby, don't you cry".

Yea, it's tears like "tares". This is the ultimate lighter-swaying-back-and-forth-at-a-concert type song.

I'm pretty sure he's singing tears (rhymes with stairs) rather than tears (rhymes with peers).

Is this pronounced Tears or Tears? I've always said "tears" but i've seen a few people saying "tears" and when I listen to it I'm not sure what he's saying now :(

Just scrobbled this for the first time... utter awe. Such a beautiful song.

One of my favorite Devy songs. The first half is beautiful and the last half is epic. Great build. And I love the last vocal lines, with the deep chanting like he did on Planet Rain. But what the fuck is he saying? The lyrics say "I've learned my lesson. Ok, I'm bored now" But it doesn't sound anything like that.

    Tapping solo is positively ethereal.

Possibly my favourite Devin Townsend song. It's either this or Earth Day. Just utterly powerful in every single way. My spine tingles throughout every second of this song.

Whenever I listen to this song, I imagine taking farewell to my dearest and take off in a spaceship, looking through the window and wondering how that person will fare afterwards...

He actually worked with Steve Vai I believe, but no, pretty sure it's Devin. I LOVE the lyrics on this song, and I love the solo too - totally mellows me out.
