Biography

Indianapolis, United States (2002 – present)

Formed in early 2002 out of Indianapolis, Indiana, Devil to Pay was conceived as the antithesis of strangulated modern rock radio. With a distinct lean towards 70s heavy metal, a love of proto-grunge, and a deep reverence for the stoner rock and doom metal underground, the band continues to torch its own path to rock and roll glory.

Since their inception, Devil to Pay have won a Battle of the Bands, released three albums, charted on metal radio, toured the country several times, shared the stage with their heroes, and picked up numerous accolades and new friends along the way.

Albums:
1. [2003] Thirty Pieces of Silver
2. [2006] Cash is King
3. [2009] Heavily Ever After
4. [2013] Fate Is Your Muse from Ripple Music

I believe 617 listeners is a crime. Criminally underrated.

I started listening to Thirty Pieces of Silver. This band is fucking great man. Cas is King and Heavily ever After are good albums too. All the power of the sludge doom ! ! ! !

No, no they cannot. At first, I wasn't thoroughly impressed with Heavily Ever After (though, it was still a good album), but it's been one of my favorites for 2009 since.

I seem to love DTP more and more as time goes on. I got into them in 2006 when I learned they were playing with a local band I enjoy. They were good, but little did I know that 2 years later I'd find myself immersed in Stoner Rock, and they'd be right back at the top of my list.
