Bills, Bills, Bills (4:14)
From The Writing's On The Wall and 38 other releases
“Bills, Bills, Bills” was the lead single from their album “The Writing’s On The Wall”, which was considered Destiny’s Child international breakthrough album and also featured singles such as “Say My Name”, “Jumpin, Jumpin” and “Bug A Boo”.
This song is about a disgruntled woman who is sick of her man running up telephone and credit card bills and leaving them for her to pay. She is giving her man the choice; either pay the bills or get out of my life.
This was also Destiny’s Child’s first number 1 single in the Billboard Hot 100, however the response from the rest of the world was not quite as good. No where else did “Bills, Bills, Bills” even reach a top 5, with it peaking in the UK Singles Chart at 6 and Canadian Singles Chart at 9.

Taking me places I ain't never been
But now, you're getting comfortable
Ain't doing those things you did no more
