@tropicalhaze Yeah, what a brilliant plan on Josh's part: "I know, I'll organize and host 10 week-long sessions with my musician friends and I'll take a total of 2 songs from those sessions, re-work them slightly and use them on Queens of the Stone Age albums!" What's the endgame there? Having one of the songs become a moderately successful single for QOTSA? I hate to be rude, but you're a dipshit.
All of them are great in their own right, but the first album is definitely the best. Nothing else really ever comes close to songs like Screamin' Eagle or Cake (Who Shit on the?). The only not awesome song on it imo would be Robotic Lunch.
Who is stealing from whom? Is collaboration stealing? Is being inspired by another artist stealing? If I produce an album for a band and it sounds a bit like my music, is the band stealing from me? If I write a song for one band and then use it in a different band, am I stealing from myself?
