Biography

Punjabi artist Des-C has impressed many in the music industry. His corn rows and hot leather jackets may give the impression that he’s not one for culture, but that’s far from true! Though he is born and raised in Luton, England, he’s stayed true to his Punjabi roots.

Des-C may not have had the perfect childhood and has been through a struggle or two but that must make the taste of his hard earned success twice as sweet! At the young age of 22, Des-C took the Bollywood scene by storm as he co-wrote the lyrics to the smash hit “Move Your Body” from the movie “Johnny Gadaar. ” The track featured vocalist Hard Kaur who helped making this a very successful song. Des-C has also worked with Rishi Rich on the album “The Project.” Des-C’s sultry vocals graced the song “Majajne.” From Bollywood and Urban Desi to the Bhangra scene, Des-C began working on his solo career.

The single “Tor Nagni” showcases Des-C’s vocals beautifully. His less than traditional voice adds an urban edge to the song, yet his Punjabi lyrics are sharp. Though she is not featured vocally on the song, Hard Kaur is present in the “Tor Nagni” video as she supports this artist and all that he does. Next we heard “Nachna Onda,” which embodies a more traditional Bhangra sound with its dhol beats and fun vibe. Making waves with these two singles, audiences have waited in anticipation for Des-C’s debut album.

Still leading up to the release of his album “First Flight,” Des-C has been working with producer D-Boy. Des-C is a featured vocalist on the song “Tu Bataja” off D-Boy’s album ‘Playback Vol1.” More recently we have heard Des-C’s mesmerizing vocals on D-Boy’s remix of Sef’s song “U Need A Hero.”
