Des Peres (previosly known as Old Des Peres) are one of Australia’s most unique and undefinable
acts. Freely moving between electronic, dance, hip hop, pop and jazz their music falls into that murky undefined area. Heavily sample based their first album Preserved (Flict/Shock) won them huge accolades in the Australian media for a truly unique end exciting approach to music, while drawing parralels to acts such as Felix the House Cat, the Avalanches, talking heads and even Undeworld. Their live act is something to behold energy nergy energy lead by one of the great front women Luva DJ and including 5 amazing musicians and showmen in Tom Bass on Guitar, Me Ection as head MC, TKelsey James on Vocals and the man himself Des Peres behind the sampler.
Never afraid to completely go in new areas their second album Ace Doubt (Flict/MGM) was released in 2006.
The bands third album “The Adventures of Cowboy and Miniman” was released in 2008 (House of Pow/Amphead) and has once again confused overwhelmed and astounded lisenters and critics alike.
