Biography

Looking at their list of achievements, it’s hard to believe that Kam Denny and Paul Zala have only worked together for just over a year!
The Australian duo met in a club, Kam approached by Paul with a CD of demos he’d been working on. Impressed, to say the least, Kam envisioned the idea of joining up in the studio: thus Denzal Park came to life!

Their combined influences range broadly from early electronic pioneers such as Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode and Jean Michelle Jarre through to rock icons like The Beatles, Radiohead and David Bowie. Accordingly, the outfit has developed a sound tinged with a strong house feel and driven by a keen sense for melodic qualities.

Denny and Zala unleashed their first original cut in early 2008… Sunday School. This quickly landed in the front of DJ’s crates across the globe as well finding its way into the top 20 on Australia’s ARIA club chart. An entourage of remixes and projects followed, including a cheeky bootleg of a Ce Ce Peniston’s classic ‘Finally’.
Initially constructed for Kam and Paul’s DJ sets, ‘Finally’ was soon leaked onto the internet and became sought after by some of the world’s leading DJs. The result was a no.1 position on the international Beatport Chart as well as an Australian ARIA Clubchart no. 1. The pair went on to land worldwide recording deals for official re-release.
