This early industrial band from Dayton Ohio, led by Gyn Cameron was one of the area's first proponents of industrial music. Combining cold and biting vocals with grinding guitars, electronic drums, industrial percussion and samples, the group's early '80s output was electrifying and cathartic.
Both sonically and lyrically, one could say they fell somewhere between Gary Numan and Psychic TV with an emphasis on disturbingly metalic guitars similiar to Big Black. While mostly unknown to the general public, dEMENTIA pRECOX have been cited as a major influence by some of the genre's most well known artists.
The band existed from 1980 through 1995, and had a reunion that lasted from 2007 through 2009
Other members of the band included: Royse Robbins, Max Nye, Eric Purtle Nick Kizirnis, Lu Linden
