Def Squad is a group that is the side project of three well-known solo artists on the rap scene: Keith Murray, Redman, and Erick Sermon (who is also a member of EPMD). They have only released one album so far, El Nino, and their most popular single from it was “Def Squad Delite,” a remake of the classic late 70s song by The Sugarhill Gang. Subsequent singles included “Full Cooperation” and later “The Countdown.”

It's a shame they didn't put out a group effort in 1995 or so. They put out enough songs together to have a triple disc. (Add up EPMD, Erick, Red, Keith, Jamal and etc guest appearances and it's a crazy list of songs). El Nino was cool but didn't live up to there potential at all.
