1990 - I am born.
1990-1994 - My musical taste consists of what I watch on TV. Eric Nagler, Sesame Street.
1994-1997 - My dad/teachers begin to influence my music taste. My dad plays artists like Sarah McLachlan, Mae Moore, Amanda Marshall, Bruce Cockburn, John Lennon, Bruce Springsteen, George Michael, The Kinks, David Bowie, Jane Siberry, Barenaked Ladies Joni Mitchell, Fleetwood Mac and I am persuaded.
My teachers play things like The Beatles and Raffi.
All this influence worked until...
1997-2001 – grrrl power! We're talking The Spice Girls, Savage Garden, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, P!nk, and Hanson You get the idea. Very mainstream, so classic, and very typical of an easily influenced young girl of the late nineties.
2001-2002 - Ahh! I'm punk. I listen to Avril Lavigne, Blink 182 and Eminem! Okay, that's just what I said I listened to. Instead I came home and listened to Bryan Adams, Sarah McLachlan, Alanis Morrisette and The Corrs. HAHA. Nerd.
