The Deep Fried Funk Brothers (DFFB) are a trio of hip-hop royalty that extends to the early roots of Sacramento’s underground scene. Artists in their own right, DFFB consists of former members of The CUF, who independently produced and promoted eight CDs and performed with the biggest names in rap and hip-hop; including Nortorious BIG, Dr. Dre, Run DMC, Living Legends, Digable Planets, Blackalicious and Doug E Fresh. A favorite among X-Box junkies, the trio’s former gig provided seven tracks for the interactive video game, Amped. Despite a rich hip-hop history, the DFFB sound is all their own, with tight beats and infectious rhymes. Their debut album “Out of the Frying Pan Into the Fire,” unleashes fresh original funk with a distinctly west coast influence, that reaches across and beyond genres. The Funk Brothers are sending out a diverse hard-hitting vibe, deep-fried style.
