Biography

A unique blend of music genres amalgamated with unconscious absorption of all the iconic hardcore punk rock legends. The members are from an almost unknown, hidden part of New York called Long Beach. Located on a barrier island off of Long Island. A city full of happening individuals and happening music. A lot of other bands roam the streets of Long Beach and all have been gaining notoriety. This band has five original members Chris Rangel aka “Tito” aka “Tito Face”(Rhythm Guitar&Vocals) Alejandro Rangel aka “Ali”(Vocals) Chris Arrigo(Lead Guitar) Danny Phelan(Bass) and Andrew Melnyczuk (Drums). There has been a number of drummers since Andrew Melnyczuk left the band starting with Shawn Gallivan, Ray Demafiles and David Weintraub. Who is the most recent drummer. Forming Decent at Best® also know as D.A.B.® or dab® when they were in Middle School. Making their first Demo on Cassette Tape. The Demo Thinking About Nothing was recorded at Lyric Studios at 134 Fulton Avenue Garden City Park, NY 11040 on March 13th 1999. Then sold around the Long Beach Middle School for a tidy profit. Moving on to making their first D.I.Y. album on the new and improved Compact Disc. Always with a sense of humor, calling the album Professional Punk Rock Garbage®. Also recorded at Lyric in 2001 and engineered by Jason. With artwork by Joseph Sheehan. Next an album entitled Michigan. Recorded at Rugroom Studios Long Beach, New York 11561 in 2005 and mixed by Paul Simeone. While playing various venues all over New York. Places like The Funky Monkey 3297 Long Beach Rd. Oceanside, New York , The JCC, The Vault and The Hub Billiard Club 4060 Austin Blvd Island Park, New York 11558.
