Biography
Debmaster comes from Picardie in the north of France. He started his career at 11 as a drummer in a punk band. In 2000, he began to produce electronic samples (short tracks of 1min30) with help from his mentor, Sir Edmund Prinz (runner of the electro label Ego Twister).
Debmaster then recorded several albums, as he states “only for fun”, but because of one of these recordings, My Other Name Is Bredouille, the talent diggers of the new label Hip Notik became interested in the way he brought together hip hop beats and electronic sounds.
Through Hip Notik Records Debmaster was able to collaborate with internationally acclaimed artists such as Sach, Bleubird, Subtitle or Existereo & Innaspace. These collaborations can be found on his album Monster Zoo, the first solo release on Hip Notik in February, 2006.
