Biography
Los Angeles, United States (1988 – 1996)
Death Ride 69 was a Los Angeles, California deathrock band formed sometime around 1988 led by My Life with the Thrill Kill Kult drummer/percussionist Linda Lesabre who also went by the name Beatmistress
The band first released a 12” EP entitled Elvis Christ in 1988, followed by an album entitled “The LP!”
The next year their 1988 album was given a few more tracks and released as “The CD!” and they released a 12” EP entitled “Red Sea” on red vinyl.
In 1996 a more industrial album was released through Fifth Colvmn Records entitled Screaming Down The Gravity Well. Another album entitled the Penetrator was recorded around the same time but was never released, though there was talk of Mobilization Records releasing it in 2006. Screaming Down The Gravity Well was later re-released with different cover art in 1999 through Invisible Records.
The line up varied over the years, but included:
Don Diego: bass, vocals
Linda Lesabre: drums, vocals (later known as Beatmistress)

Don Diego died in 1996.
The band dissolved sometime around 1996/1997.
