But watching someone die is the hardest thing ever- how many people do you love enough to be there while they die (either physically, or maybe even emotionally- like to stick by someone while they suffer a deep depression?). The people you love the most, you'll be with them through anything- even through those tough moments when you'd rather just skip out because it's easier than sticking around. That's what this song is saying.
