That is interesting, never would have guessed someone from Dream Theater would enjoy Death Cab. I didn't care for this album at first, but now that I've heard more of their discography, I wouldn't say it's their worst by far.

This album was Dream Theater bassist, John Myung's number 1. favorite album of 2011. And being the big JMX fan that I am, I immediately began to listen to it, and after a few listenings it also became my favorite album of 2011. It's such a simple piece of work but at the same time, it's a emotionally masterpiece, every small details works together perfectly. As John Myung himself said it, "Chemistry, lyrics, and production.".

It's not revolutionary or anything, but it's still a lovely album. Still far ahead of most other modern mainstream pop/rock.

Redeemed by the songs Codes and Keys and Doors Unlocked and Open. I just couldn't get into the other stuff too much.

Yeah, this is easily their weakest album. I hope their next one's better.

This was the first Death Cab album I heard all the way through, and I thought it was pretty boring. I didn't understand why everyone liked them so much, but then I started listening to "Plans" and fell in love. I just didn't feel the same emotion in these songs. Maybe I'll try it again and change my mind, but right now I think this is kind of a bland album.

A fantastic album, and one of the best they've put out, IMO. Let's face it, the real reason people hate on this is because it's their latest album and they feel it makes them look "cool" to say they don't like it. This always happens when a band brings out a new record. The same thing happened with their last two releases...
