Dead by Sunrise (previously known as Snow White Tan) is the side project of Linkin Park’s lead vocalist, Chester Bennington. The band also features Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck of the band Orgy, and Anthony “Fu” Valcic.
When asked in an interview about the difference between Dead By Sunrise and Linkin Park, Bennington responded, “It’s hard to describe. Like, describe the difference between Soundgarden and Alice in Chains, you know what I mean? It’s almost impossible. There are obvious things about it that when you listen to it, you’ll know it’s not a Linkin Park record. You’re not gonna get confused. You’ll have to hear it.”
Their first album is called Out Of Ashes and was released in October 2009. Chester performs guitar and keyboard on the album, as well as singing. All extra instrumental, programming and production was undertaken by Ryan, Amir, and Fu.

I was kinda disappointed in 'Minutes after Midnight', except for a few songs. But after hearing 'New Divide' I got really excited about a new album... But instead there's this. It's not bad, but it's not special. Very generic as far as music and lyrics go. Not my thing.
