‘Overstekend Wild’ came into existence through the folk Group Wolverlei. Every Sunday afternoon they work on their songs at the house of Frans Smulders. These songs are all on the albums ‘Onze Jongens' and 'Memento’, as well as they can be heard during events in the Netherlands (such as the program of Sonja Barnend) and in the rest of the world (like the Edinburgh Folk Festival).

Roel Smeets is a singer-songwriter from Nijmegen, Holland. You might know him from his former band The Vlegels, formed in 2007. Their first EP, ‘What about’, was released in May 2009. They broke up in 2010.

The group sings different kinds of songs such as Ukrainian folk, old romances and modern songs of famous composers from different countries. Arrangement for four voices and jazz harmonies makes sound unique.
