In October 2008 a group of desperados came together to make some music. Soon it became clear what these guys were good at: steady reggae with hard rock influences. In May 2009 they started to complete parties and surprise the audience as ‘de Gringo’s’. That summer they also recorded their first album of nine ‘progressive reggae’ songs. De Gringo’s competed in the Rooie Oortjes festival, where they got to the final round. Soon you can see them with new songs at the Rebours festival, the Gideon festival, the Popronde and more. The debut album ‘Where to go?’ will be released soon, so stay near! De Gringo’s are singer Lion Ebbey, bass guitar player Jorris Treebeard, drummer Eric Jah, guitar player Bart Steady and Ajith Kumar Hendrix who took over Sinister Stevens place at the end of 2009. Today they combine their qualities and try to give reggae music a new dimension. For bookings, mail:
