Biography

De Fuik is a pair of Dutch artists who are musically inspired by traditional Dutch music.
In 2011, after a lengthy period of recording and finetuning, they released their first single, “Hoofd Schouders”, which portrays a contemporary version of a traditional Dutch song, while still maintaining its integrity and artistic value. Their inquisitive nature has led De Fuik to experiment with multiple instruments like the penny whistle, which are included in their songs. In their own words; “We endeavour to inspire people to enjoy fresh and contemporary musical styles, whilst still maintaining their eternal love for the traditional music of the olden days that we all loved so very dearly. Yes, we believe that we all have the power to make a change, but it takes a special kind of person, a special kind of music, and just a tiny bit of magic to create something beautiful in these dreary days. The cosmos blesses you all!”

Since the release of their EP, “Liederen van weleer”, De Fuik has become massively popular in almost all regions of the world, inspiring millions of people everywhere around the globe.
