Same here Tyler, excellent song. I'm really enjoying it! Oh well, too each their own I guess!

Wow, kinda surprised at the hate this song is getting. I was driving the first time I heard this song on public radio, and I literally had to pull over to listen to and take in the lyrics. Yeah, it sounds a lot like Jackson Browne, but that doesn't mean that it's not a good song in its own right.

Well, I think it is a really good song, albeit heart wrenching...which I suppose circumstances have actually made me a sucker for...Impossible to say what I would think of it otherwise...

I hear this song on the radio all the time (WFUV in the Bronx) and I have to say that these are some of the worst lyrics I've ever heard. Sonically, it's a weak Jackson Browne imitation, but lyrically it's just plain embarrassing, particularly the verse about the guy eating at a buffet. Dawes has written the most unsubtle metaphor I've heard in a long time as they have to straight up explain to listener that the buffet=grief. And they rhyme chicken wing with everything! God I can't stand this song. "So pile on those mashed potatoes, And an extra chicken wing, I'm having a little bit of everything."

Haha @satin666 you're right, they did play this song entirely too much. But I've hated this song since the first time I heard it, so I can't really blame it on The Current.

@LTHMPLS - you are spot on with that...this sounds EXACTLY like a JB song, right down to the Lindley-esque guitar work.
