Y'all aren't gettin' it. This is not a love song. It's a song about someone who he can't relate to, who is simply a shell toting pleasure as a skill, and not as a connection. "You looked deep within me and smiled at the tears in my eyes." I mean, come on! It's so bitter! In fact, almost all of the songs on this album are bittersweet, almost vindictive. Listen closely, listen again. For me, hits home right now. Thanks again David.

Ah to find a love such as this...sincere, truthful and a devotion to a soul mate one can only hope to experience. Beautiful, thought invoking and deeply soulful. Sigh.

First discovered this song on the way home from a freshwatrer fishing trip out of state on a college folk music show. Bought the album and really fell in love with the song.
