Biography
David Raleigh was born to entertain. His signature soulful vocals and timeless songwriting combined with his classic piano wizardry have kept his fan base in both the United States and Europe delighted for years.
With countless accolades under his belt, including a win on the hit television show ‘Star Search’, the crowning of California’s ‘Orange County Entertainer of the Year’ and a feature role as himself in the German cult movie ‘Kleine Haie’, David Raleigh is steadily securing his status as a truly iconic performer.
Born in Rochester New York, David moved to Seattle at the age of four, where he began to discover his unique musical ability. He went on to be named as a child prodigy in the “Who’s Who Book of Music”, and received a scholarship to attend Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan.
While still in his teens, David was “discovered” and signed to record his first album, ‘Totally Psyched.’ The success of this collection of original gospel songs led him to move to California where his traveling continued, touring as an opening act for Amy Grant, Sweet Comfort and The Archers.
David then relocated to New York City to play some of the city’s best venues such as Stringfellows, Tatou, and the Supper Club, while recording and releasing his follow up album ‘Never Alone’. The record received an unprecedented amount of attention from media and fans alike, and is still selling today through the iTunes Music Store.
