Biography

David Feily is a musician, composer, teacher and performer from Maryland and is a graduate from The University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota. He studied guitar with Stephen Morgan, Chris Kachian, and Joan Griffith and trumpet with Chris Volpe while attending UST. He has also had the great opportunity to play with, attend workshops, clinics or camps, learn from or share the stage with greats such as Tim Warfield, Eric Gales, Terrell Stafford, David Sanchez, Ingrid Jensen, Allison Miller, Don Junker, Chris Vadala, Jonathan Blake Jr. , Kevin Washington, Jay Young, Ian Young, Steve Kenny, Alicia Wiley, Yohannes Tona, Sanford Moore, Russ King, Dan Kusz the ACME Jazz Co, SOAP, Dr. Mambo’s Combo and Viva Brazil to name a few. He plays other various shows, concerts, private events, and recording sessions around the Twin Cities area. In the fall of 2010 played guitar for the Illusion Theater in downtown Minneapolis in their production of “Always & Forever”. In 2012 he played some shows for the Lab Theater’s revival of the hit production “When a Man Loves a Diva”. He currently plays guitar with Brazilian variety band Viva Brazil, and guitar with a soul, R&B, and Top 40 group called Soulections. David is also currently an active music teacher for guitar, bass, piano and trumpet and is accepting students of all ages and skill levels.
