So...why does everyone hate on this song because it uses the music from Sister Midnight, but have no problem with Move On being All The Young Dudes backwards, or Boys Keep Swinging having basically the same chords and progression as Fantastic Voyage? Seems like pointless nitpicking to me.

That synth riff of Sister Midnight is missing on this version. A great mistake, if you ask me, because that was one of the best things of the original.

I LOVE Bowie, but I really prefer "Sister Midnight". Why did he decide to re-record it in his voice, changing the name of the song?

But if Sister Midnight didn't exist people would like this still so why say you don't. Bowie has a better voice anyway.

Luckily it's the last track on the album, easier to skip if you don't like it.

Weak shit. I hate how much Bowie reused the stuff he made for/with Iggy later on.

Oh please, this is as good, if not even better, than Sister Midnight.

In Bowie's defense, he wrote "Sister Midnight" for Iggy. Still, even if he wrote it, he doesn't need two versions, especially when "Sister Midnight" is better.

This is the only shit moment on Lodger to me. Why he decided to 'cover' Iggy's "Sister Midnight" so plainly rather than offer another new tune when he was on such a roll boggles my brainz.

does anybody know why did bowie actually want to write his own lyrics instead of using iggy's? it's a bit weird, espacially that he is doing sister midnight live more often than red money. he decided that iggy's version is better or what?
