@PSU_strummer, congrats on spouting the most pretentious bowie talk i've ever heard. i thought i had heard it all, then you came along and raised the bar. didn't think it could be done.

Somebody told me "Buy Low" - it's odd but beautiful. They were so right, and this is just so incredible.

@bowie_fan... (re: farting).... a bowie fan, of all subjects, should understand such text is far too crass for leaving to ruin the work. imbecile. I am made to cringe by writing even these words, yet for feeling so forced; vindictive; losing my own mind; offended; rejected; violent. what else? i wax sardonic; explosive.

truly, it doesn't get much better than this. for one who understands-- myself excluded, regardless-- this is quite the quintessential, exquisite representation, i believe (or perhaps) of something like: disillusionment, Depersonalization, vindication, helplessness, or an array of symptoms associated with so-called "recovery". I suppose the /consumer/ or receiver of the /message/ , having some understanding of "Bowie's personal / private situation" at the time might decrease whatever signal-to-noise ratio is likely to exist for those who either don't understand the song, or dismiss it as having little value. Contrariwise, I find I experience it from an empathetic viewpoint, and furthermore appreciate the rather telling exposition. Naive / "green", or otherwise less experienced artists are known for expression in a "ham-fisted" manner. This mere tear-drop of the great body of work of the artist, David Bowie, represents a fine example for comparison / contrast against less eloquent work.
