It's different, it's groovy, I love it. Feels like Bowie jumped into the 90's swinging.

Cannot understand how it's possible this stuff never got its proper esteem. For me this is top five from all his outstanding output.

"great return to form, the production is perfect. Outside is good but maybe a bit too difficult for regular listening and Earthling just isn't quite on the same level of quality " I agree, it was a return too his more experimental years, great album, althought i liked Outside some more, and i have double feelings about Earthling..

I don't care how many critics and fans pan this album...I like it. It's cool, suave, a little more personal than usual, and is made with one of the most heartfelt purposes of Bowie's career. Bowie hasn't always been known for being a "romantic" songwriter, so within that context, this album is something unique.

one of my favorite albums (like just about all of them) but really, reinventing himself again so late in his career and doing so successfully? And whats with these tags. Only 5 albums of his 20 something are in fact glam. gotta fix this. its been a while since in listened to this but dance, electronic, swing, big beat sounds about right, anything else?

I always avoided listening to "Black Tie White Noise", mostly for bad reviews i read around in years (how superficial), but now, after a first listen, i can tell there are very good efforts on it!

First Bowie album I ever bought, but if we pretend it doesn't exist then the honour goes straight to Station To Station a couple of years later. :)

The album in its totality is pretty so-so, but surprisingly enough, Jump They Say and Miracle Goodnight are in my top 10 favorite Bowie songs of all seems weird that a mediocre album ranked among Bowie's worst could contain some of the most amazing work he's ever done...though to be honest, I find that happens quite frequently with his music ("Loving the Alien" on Tonight is a good example).

After listening to it some more, I think some of it is pretty good, though it's a pretty annoying album if you're not in the mood for it. But it's definitely much better than Tonight and Never Let Me Down.
