David Byrne and Fatboy Slim collaborated together for the concept album ‘Here Lies Love’ which is about the life of the former First Lady of the Philippines, Imelda Marcos. Byrne is a Scottish-born musician and artist best known as a founding member and principal songwriter of the American new wave band Talking Heads, which was active between 1974 and 1991.
Fatboy Slim (or Norman Cook) is a British DJ, big beat musician, record producer and pioneer of the electronic dance genre that achieved mainstream popularity in the 1990s.

im a beginner on byrne solo's but could somebody clear my mind, why would somebody do such a cute album for somebody who was such a nasty, excentric and superficial dictator? emphasizing the "cool" on this cinical woman for me is like depriving violence from its essential values: pain, destruction, suffering to the other and making fun on bullying, rape, etc... ive took a look on the lyrics (all them are really great and inspiring) but i dont see any kind of relevant portray on imelda's person. in the end, if nobody can help me to see david's goal here, i would say this album is a waste of talent and good writing on the memory of somebody who shouldnt at all be remembered as a disney alike character
