This album has like the best backing vocals ever. Not that Bowie's voice isn't enough but the backing vocals in Young Americans, Right, Fascination etc. are just the icing on the cake. Fantastic album overall.

Perhaps I gotta give it a few more tries, but as far as I know Station To Station is superior in every possible way.

Excellent! Bowie changes his style and transformation effects are surprisingly good. I love "plastic soul" :) I might be committing heresy but I'd rather listen to this any day over Ziggy Stardust. [3]

Nobody can deny the fact that Bowie mastered the "plastic soul" genre here. Also, the backing vocals are some of the best ever recorded by any artist. And don't forget it was the first album with the great Carlos Alomar.
