Born in Melbourne and growing up in the beachside town of Warrnambool, Dave began recording chords through an old pair of headphones stuck to the soundboard of his nylon string acoustic guitar so he could practice playing melodies. Since 2004 he has been writing and recording songs in his loungeroom in suburban Melbourne.
Initially a hobby, home project that few people knew about, the internet and open mic nights afforded Dave the opportunity to bring his brand of singer-songwriter acoustic storytelling to a greater audience.
In 2009 he began playing regular open mics at Station 59 bar in Richmond and was fortunate to meet many talented musicians that provided much inspiration. 2010 promised to be a big year!
