Dave Holland Quintet

The Dave Holland Quintet’s music is a mixture of progressive-minded post-bop and avant-garde jazz, with asymmetrical rhythms, creative harmonies, emphasis on group improvisation, and extended forms, to create some of the most well-respected music in postmodern jazz (in no small part because of the inspiring feat of their continued balancing act between being both accessible and edgy). The first incarnation of the Dave Holland Quintet was born in 1983 on the album, Jumpin’ In. The original 1980s quintet (which had no chordal instruments—only bass, drums, and brass and reed instruments) went on to record two more albums after that. In 1997, Holland formed a second quintet, one which would gain more recognition and accolades over the course of its career (which still continues to this day), including multiple Grammy nominations and wins. The current quintet includes Robin Eubanks on trombone and cowbell; Steve Nelson on marimba and vibraphone; Chris Potter on saxophones; and Nate Smith on drums.

"...a correction of names of Dave Holland's bands (trio's, quartets, quintets, octects, whatever) to just Dave Holland" [1]

friends, what would you say about all of us suggesting a correction of names of Dave Holland's bands (trio's, quartets, quintets, octects, whatever) to just Dave Holland. I know that this names are proper, and I scrobbled them that way, but now I think it's kind of messy, having his bands all separated despite them having the same leader. I know it sounds kind of psycho, probably it's scrobbling induced neurotic disorder. I know, but wouldn't it be nice? Please help, or I'm quiting this shit :<

Why would Dave Holland Quartet be an alternate name option? They're completely different.
