Great voice, and some really great songs. He was famous for Truckin' songs but he also cut some fantastic straight country songs. If you wonder where to start check out - "Truck Drivin' Son Of A Gun - The Mercury Hits 1963-1973" - 24 Hits on one CD. Includes the majestic "This Night (Ain't Fit For Nothing But Drinking)" - That is real country!!
