Biography
Dave Catching (born June 7, 1961) is an American musician from Memphis, Tennessee. He has played the guitar for well-known rock bands Queens of the Stone Age, Earthlings? and Mondo Generator. He is also a member of Eagles of Death Metal, Yellow #5, and The Gnarltones. He regularly appears on the music improv series, The Desert Sessions. He also appears as guitarist/organist on the two albums of the Mark Lanegan Band. In the early 80’s, he was in a band called Cock Rock, that played at the legendary Antenna Club.
Catching is also a co-owner and founder of The Rancho De La Luna recording studio in Joshua Tree, California. Catching primarily plays Gibson guitars (most notably a Flying V).
He currently resides in Joshua Tree and lists New Orleans, Louisiana as a second residence.
