Biography

Ajay Bhattacharyya and Amy Kirkpatrick first came together in their hometown of Victoria on Canada’s Vancouver Island. Kirkpatrick had moved to Vancouver proper, where she started using her training to do lights for the city’s biggest clubs. Bhattacharyya, meanwhile, had come to the city to study sound design for film.
From the circuit-bending tonalities mirroring Nine Inch Nails to the feminine aspect evoking the mystical eroticism of Lykke Li, The Data Romance E.P. provides the first taster of what to expect from the band’s full-length album, due out in 2012.

    @nativelime @Deadr0ckSJ - there is also more to be found for purchase on iTunes under the band name "Names" and the EP is titled "Paint." Can you guess why they changed the name? They also did some stuff for the sound track to the film "Life Cycles" which can also be found on iTunes.

    @nativelime Their 4 track debut EP (includes The Deep, Arms, Bullets, and Streetlight) is available on iTunes, and their latest singles (Spark and She's Been High) can be downloaded for free from either their website or from their soundcloud page. They also have a few covers on soundcloud that are free downloads. The Bones and Ghosted singles were also released for free and are still floating around the internet somewhere.
