Dar will always be extremely dear to me. I've met her a few times, and she is an incredible and warm human being, and her songs essentially helped me survive teenagehood. The first time I saw her live was on my 17th birthday, got the chance to unexpectedly meet her beforehand, when I was embarrassingly starstruck she was lovely, and said my name mid-set to ask me for a song request :). Dar, Dar, Dar. You're very special.
about ten years before i saw a photo of her or read anything at all about her i thought she was one of the sexiest women in the world. The gender issues and associated orientation drama are amusing to me all the more for that reason alone....The soul of her music and the envisioned persona are attractive enough to make me forsake any pre- conceived notion of intent....what a beautiful human....
Saw her at the 50th Philadelphia Folk Festival! Caught her late in her act, but she was very talented & entertaining. I hope she becomes more well known.

Like purely emotional piano and an angelic female vocalist? “A Secret Sense” inspires with its calm and soothing piano, quiet violoncello and a heart touching female voice. Flowing, beautiful and sentimental melodies that aim to touch your soul with their passion and tenderness. Would be great if you took the time to have a short listen:) Thanks and cheers!
my dad got my hooked on dar williams when i was a little girl. memorized so many of her songs and they were always in my head. i remember my dad being surprised that i really really liked her as a young girl. she's amazing, and she's even more amazing live.
