1) Danny Pearson is a singer/songwriter and multi instrumentalist. He is perhaps foremost known as the bass player in American Music Club. His work features collaborations with both J.C. Hopkins, Mark Kozelek (Sun Kil Moon, Red House Painters),Jeff Ament(Pearl Jam) and many more.

Danny’s music is mostly stark, spare and real sounding, with cello, piano, double bass, bells and ethereal tape echoes revealing influences that range from Swedish poet Tomas Transtromer to Waylon Jennings and the painter Russel Chatham.

2) There is an R&B singer by the name of Danny Pearson, too. He was introduced and produced by none other than Barry White himself. First, and only album was released in 1978, entitled, “Barry White Presents Mr. Danny Pearson.” The first single, “What’s Your Sign Girl” b/w “Is It Really True Girl” hit number 16 R&B, number 106 pop on Billboard’s charts in late 1978. Though none of Pearson’s other singles charted, his album was a good debut and is a favorite of soft soul fans.
