Danny O’Donoghue (born Daniel John Mark Luke O’Donoghue on October 3, 1980 in Dublin, Ireland) is an Irish singer-songwriter from the band The Script. The Script’s first single We Cry was written about James’s Street in Dublin and the different types of people you would meet there. Danny was an original member of a late ’90s Band called Mytown after being signed for $15 million dollars to Universal Records in 1999. He has also worked as a record producer in the United States with fellow bandmate Mark Sheehan.

Danny O’Donoghue is an Irish singer, songwriter and musician from Dublin. Both his parents are Irish, although his Grandfather is of Greek descent, from Chios, Greece, and his family have been in Ireland for three generations.

The Script announced a new album and single on their website on Monday, 19 July 2010. The first single from upcoming album Science & Faith has been confirmed to be a song named “For the First Time”. “For the First Time” was released in September 2010 and the album Science & Faith was released on 13 September 2010. “For the First Time” has entered the UK charts at #5 and moved up to #4 the following week and entered the Irish charts at #1. The music video features Bono’s daughter Eve Hewson. Science & Faith entered the Irish Album Chart and the UK album chart at no.1. On Friday, 24 September tickets for The Scripts’ 3 nights at The O2 Dublin, 2 nights at The Odyssey, Belfast, and 2 nights at The INEC, Killarney went on sale and sold out in less than 40 minutes, with over 60,000 tickets sold.
