Biography

Daniel “Danny” Edwin Carey (born May 10, 1961 in Lawrence, Kansas, USA) is the drummer for the art/progressive metal band Tool. Due to Carey’s work as a session drummer, and his reputation as being one of the world’s best, he has contributed to a number of projects, some of which are Pigmy Love Circus, VOLTO!, Green Jellö and Zaum. He is widely regarded as one of the very best drummers alive.

    The only person you can compare Danny Carey's drumming to would be Dave Lombardo. They both have that style where they can create entire songs out of drums. But Danny is the best, especially live!
