“Somewhere between Sting and Joni Mitchell, her musical world is fine, smooth, filled with light and human depth.”
-Eric Hauswald Radio France

The recent journey of Toronto-based songstress Daniela Nardi may have been a turbulent and traumatic one, but she has emerged in triumphant style with The Rose Tattoo. This musically evocative and deeply emotional work reflects life lessons learned, and fuses passion, poetic power, and musical and vocal skill, to striking effect.

The follow-up to One True Thing, Nardi’s well-received 2003 debut, it represents a major creative step forward. The gap between releases is attributable to a case of real life getting in the way. I was blocked but it was almost as if my subconscious took over, and things just came out. Now, I read what is written and I’m like ‘where did that come from?’ Consciously I would not be able to write that.”
