Daniela Samantha Castro Jaramillo (born August 17, 1969 in Mexico City, Mexico) is a Mexican actress. She is the daughter of Javier Castro, who is one of the founding Castro Brothers (Los Hermanos Castro — Arturo, Javier, Jorge and Gualberto, Benito entered the group after Jorge left), niece to Arturo, Gualberto and second cousin to Benito. Los Hermanos Castro influenced her decision to enter the entertainment business.

She felt attraction for music at a very young age and this is why the entered the Centro de Estudios Artísticos de Televisa (CEA), which took her in another direction and ended up performing in some plays at some theaters in Mexico which later on she continued to do on a few occasions.

She was offered to play at a telenovela because of her work in theater.

She has participated in the following telenovelas: Un Nuevo Amanecer (A new dawn) (1988), Mi segunda Madre (My second mother) (1989), Dias sin Luna (Days without moon) (1990), Balada por un Amor (A ballad for love) (1990), Infamia (Infamy) (1991), Cadenas de Amargura (Chains of Bitterness) (1991), Triangulo (1992), Cañaveral de Pasiones (Canebrake of passions) (1996), Desencuentro (Confusion) (1997), El Noveno mandamiento (The 9th commandment) (2001), and after a long absence she returned to play Lizabeta in Pasión in 2007.
