Biography

Daniel Mehlhart was born in Basel, Switzerland in 1986 and raised up in a suburb of Frankfurt am Main, Germany. His parents are musicians, so it was given that he would play some kind of instrument. He started playing the drums at the age of 12 for about 6 years. In this time he got in touch with electronic music by listening the ‘Clubnight’ on HR3 radio.

Fascinated by this kind of music, he bought his first set up at the age of 16 and has been spinning now for almost 7 years.Nowadays Daniel Mehlhart is busy in producing electronic music. His series of releases started on the netlabel FOEM-Crema in spring 2006 followed by a 4 track 12” on the UK Label ‘Evolved Recordings’ and a release and on Netherlands imprint ‘Manual Music”. After he did two highly acclaimed records on “Karmarouge Records” in Cologne, Daniel moved along doing two releases on Neutonmusic, and now his second strike on Berlin based “Kindisch Records” hit the stores in February 09
Furthermore he did his first Remixes for DJ T on Kindisch and Fausto Messina on WIR Records and on lately on Get Digital.
On WIR, Daniel released another 12” in Summer 2009.

For 2010 Daniel already finished releases for Movida Records, WIR, Touched Recordings, Kindisch and on Gabriel Anandas new Imprint Basmati.

    Der Tonkopfreiniger is fantasticl! Beautifully layered melodic themes that evoke a richness of emotions and atmospheres. Spot on! Reminds me of the music of Ochre somehow. Oh, and i love the other stuff as well. :)
