Daniel Chappell, is a solo artist, who was born in Provo, Utah on may 25th 1983. He has been a self taught pianist since he was 13 years old. Currently, he resides in northern California. He first began to produce his music about 2 years ago, on his 36 key mini keyboard. His style is a mix of relaxing mellow music with a twist of ‘classical pop’. A few of his major influences in music consist of Enya, Gnomusy, and a bit of Pinback. He started creating music for his own entertainment. However, due to the large response he got from family, friends and fellow LFMers, he now enjoys making music for everyone and anyone who is willing to listen. So sit back, put on a track and let your troubles melt away!

I love Daniel’s music! Each song is like a journey. If you take the time to just sit still and embark on one of his songs, you will realize what I mean. From a candy shop to rolling hills, his music takes you all around to different places. Like he says, just sit back, put a song on, and see what kind of journey your mind takes you on because of his music.

Well I listened to O Holy Nite and....OK now, again we have a brilliantly toned and melodic tune from young Mr Chappell here. And I say toned, because the basstone on this track. When laid thick, was actually shaking objects secured to my walls. That in itself was pretty surprising enough. What I'm not surprised about. Is how really good this new tune [12.11.2009.] from Daniel is. This new take on another Christmas Classic. Is so powerfully tuned and melodic in it's essence. I can imagine what a crowd pleaser this would be. In a theatre, opera house or indeed any sort of festive venue. So I would have to say. This is definitely up there. With any of Daniel's special sack of Christmas goodies. And a much better version. Than any old whiny pop diva could ever muster. Step aside Ms Fairy, the new King of The Christmas Tree is here.

I just started listening to the first 20 seconds of What Child Is This on my computer speakers, and I said to myself "nuh-uh... this song DEMANDS headphones". And so I restarted the song with headphones on and found your cover song to be quite... beautiful. I loved it. What Child is This is probably the most beautiful Christmas song, and you've done a very excellent take on it. There aren't too many good versions of this song out there, but even still I can say that it would be hard to find a better version. I will most definitely be promoting this song along with my own Christmas covers this winter! -Ian

So Daniel, listened to some of your work and if the goal is soundtrack work... what are some of the movies you would see this in? The music always serves the picture (and/ or the producers and the director). I would suggest ripping some of our favorite DVDs and scoring them for the practice. See my video section for examples of how I point producers to 'see and hear' my work.
