About this album

Bromst is an album by the American electronic musician Dan Deacon.

Production and background:
According to Deacon: ” was very carefree and youthful — sort of partying for the sake of partying. This record is less about a party and more about a celebration.”

Recording process:
Bromst was partially recorded live, with the help of the above ensemble, as well as at Snow Ghost. Snow Ghost is a studio built as a house located in Whitefish Montana, founded by Brett Allen and Tom Paddock. It serves to provide the artist with housing accommodations as well as state-of-the-art analog and digital recording technology. Deacon spent time in Montana adding final touches and mastering Bromst.

For a few of the tracks on Bromst Dan Deacon utilizes a player piano, courtesy of Snow Ghost. The player piano had to be re-wired so that each line was tracked individually, so the piano could keep up with what Deacon created, which Brett Allen claims to be impossibly fast to play on one piano.
