Dale Bozzio (born Dale Frances Consalvi on March 2, 1955) is an American musician and former Playboy Bunny. She became famous as the extravagant lead singer for the 1980s pop/new wave band Missing Persons.

In the 1970’s, Dale worked as a Bunny at a Playboy Club in Boston, later appearing in Playboy magazine in 1976 (not as a Playmate) under the name Toni Consalvi. As a musician, she worked with Frank Zappa a number of times, providing vocals on (among others) Zappa’s famous album Joe’s Garage. During her work with Zappa, she met future husband Terry Bozzio in 1976. They married in 1979, and the two of them founded Missing Persons with Zappa touring guitarist Warren Cuccurullo in 1980.

Missing Persons quickly gained populairity - thanks to their music, as well as to Dale’s quirky voice, unusual, futuristic fashion sense and wild makeup and hair colors. Her now ex-husband Terry once described Dale as looking “like a Popsicle” when shooting the music video for the Missing Persons song Words, because of the vibrant colors and clothing she was wearing. Missing Persons had several hits during the first half of the 1980s but broke up in 1986, shortly after the release of their third full-length album Color In Your Life. Dale also divorced Terry Bozzio at that time, but retained the name.

Dale Bozzio has continued to record and perform since the breakup of Missing Persons. She often tours under the band’s name although the backing musicians are different from the original band (Some of these musicans have been Mike Mangini, Tony Savarino, Van Spragins, Anthony Resta, Eric Welch, Ben Sesar and Jeff Calder).

Just listening to Riot in English for the first time and really enjoying it a lot more than I thought I would. All of Dale's charm and cute quirky girlyness that we loved from her in Missing persons is still present here and which once again has great production and creative work just like with her band back in their glory days but of course set to a new and different kind of sound here. It's agreat album and shes still got it.

Actually lady gaga did get inspired by her, Starlight even posted the simon simon video on her myspace page in 2007, it's not a hidden fact! There are many similarities between them, the poker face outfit is almost exactly like the outfit she wears in her "right now" video just to cite one example among the hair styles, stage persona, outfits similarities, etc, but I agree that people tend to exaggerate sometimes, I just disagree with your debbie harry comparison, dale dressed nothing like her, back in the day she was more about performance art with her hand made outfits while debbie was more of a laid back rock chick type of girl, if anyone took anything from debbie's look was madonna.

I don't get why people say Lady Gaga copied Dale Bozzio. If anything, Bozzio took a lot of her look from Debbie Harry.

I wonder if Lady GaGa pays her royalties for ripping off her look...
