Biography
From Greenfield, MA, DM DOKURO is a Breakcore/Drum & Bass musician.
His parents move a lot, so he doesn’t worry a lot. When he was 5, there’s been some strange activity concerning others around him, so his mother took him to a doctor. It was just as they feared; he was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome. “No matter how I look at it,” he says, “It’s still a curse to me.”
He’s been listening to music ever since he was 3, and makes music now. “It’s a funny story, because my mom told me that when I was a developing fetus, she would get her CD player, and put a headset on her belly, and I would calm down. I guess back then, music was more of my life coming to me.”
During late 2004, his parents and he moved to Florida. “Good god, I hated Florida,” he said, “it was the worst four years of my effin’ life. You expect a good day, and you just get a random ‘fuck you’ from someone who doesn’t even know you. And they have the audacity to say they are my friends?! Who the hell do they think they are?!” He’s been through several issues, one involving several hours of misinterpretation, and another involving a “fight”. He said that when he looks back at those people, he’s going to think of them, and make music of it.
