DJ Wüdi is the onetime alter-ego of Michael Hanscom. During the late ‘90’s and early 2000’s in Anchorage Alaska, DJ Wüdi spun alternative, industrial, gothic, punk, retro, swing, rave, techno, dance — okay, a little bit of everything save pop and hip-hop — at a number of Anchorage clubs, most notably the all-ages, non-alcoholic clubs The Lost Abbey and Gig’s Music Theatre (this archived site for Gig’s dates from March 1998). Since moving to the Seattle area in 2001, DJ Wüdi has nearly entirely moved into retirement, save for surfacing occasionally to post musical experiments (a few long-form mix sessions, a remix, and one mashup) to his website (most easily found under the ‘Music’ heading of his Posts of Note page).
