I like it but I can't help thinking he's trying too hard to be innovative. [2]

I don't get the hate for this track; I really think this is one of his best tracks, together with Midnight, Stem and Organ Donor. Which tracks can you recommend me, based on this tracks?

Loving it. Reminds me of some Stem/Long Stem in style, not in feel.

It's raining Shadow basslines!! If you don't like dubstep or drum and bass you ain't gonna like this, but it is pretty distinctive shadow sampling style all over the rolling instrumental bass-scapes. Pretty mint if you ask me.

The first half sounds like a teenager's first try at sampling.... it picks up but has no depth or feeling. Very cold. Did someone say this already? If yes, then I agree.

excursions in professional amateurism... but the samples are more miss then hit, actually

i'm pretty sure that 96' will never be seen again. this is really alright, deserves a couple replays, but nowhere near as lasting an effort as his other work. glad it's just half of a free double download, since this is obviously just a water tester with what he's been toying with

I like it but I can't help thinking he's trying too hard to be innovative. In terms of production and programming it is a great track but it leaves me a bit cold. Lacks the emotional depth, atmosphere and dopeness of the mid 90s Shadow.

the intro sounds like like an amateur producer hopping onto dubstep bandwagon and picking up fruity loops for the first time but progresses into a decent track when the breaks kick in. loads of variation, i think this is a good thing and glad he at least didnt employ the wretched repetitive nature of dubstep. hit and miss with the samples. this incarnation is not a patch on the 96 shad.
