Biography

DJ Magic, or DJ Maj is a Christian music deejay, contributing to Christian rap albums released by Toby Mac, GRITS, Ill Harmonics, Dc Talk, and the Newsboys. DJ Maj has released 3 mixtapes called “Wax Museum Mixtape”, “Full Plates”, and “Ring Leader”, as well as an album entitled “BoogiRoot”. DJ Maj was a very successful DJ in his hometown: he played in clubs and at other events, but the success wasn’t good enough for him. While trying to create a mixed tape, he came across a record from the group S.F.C (Soldiers For Christ). He liked what he heard, at an interview, when talking about the event, he stated “…and I was like, ‘well somebody got to get this stuff out there’…” since then, he has been devoted to making Christian hip hop mainstream. DJ Maj is very well known as the “DJ of choice” for solo artist and dc Talk member tobyMac. He tours extensively with Toby, as well as working on his records. He has also done work for Christian rapper T-Bone. He is included in the listing of the Diverse City crew, which is the list of people who perform with tobyMac. He was also the DJ who made the cuts on the !Hero album .
