  • last.fm really works

    Well, it's been what, about 4 months since my subscription to last.fm. The way I got here was simple google searches for albums that I was interested in purchasing, and eventually got an basic account which I upgraded once I understood the functioning of this system.

    I'm far more passive about it now, don't really visit my last.fm page all that much since I've purchased about 5 albums that kept re-occurring in the recommendations.

    Finding through surfing
    Made some great discoveries through users' personal pages: as a game player, I've mostly been looking for commercial music that references classic console samples MILDLY. But through documentaries such as "Modulations", became more accepting of blip bands and joined the blip-blop group as it is a GREAT starting resource, plus, blip bands often have free music downloads.

    Also, seeing Bitshifter live at Montreal's festivalarcadia was proof that yes, we CAN dance to GameBoy and that there is indeed a great vein to…
