Burn One’s reputation for identifying talent down south is unmatched by anyone else on this list. In past years, he has dropped tapes with Gucci, OJ, Young Dro, Big Kuntry / Slick Pulla, & more before they became household names across the nation. And that trend continued this year with the release of new mixtapes from Jackie Chain & Shamrock, 2 mixtapes from Alabama’s G Mane & Pill’s very first mixtape, 4180: The Prescription. He was also set to host G-Side’s highly anticipated Huntsville International project, but Slow Motion Soundz decided to release it like an album & do it without a DJ. Another thing that makes Burn One’s tapes so dope, is his trademark “Burn one” tag which actually fits in perfectly at the beginning of each track & does not interfere with your listening pleasure. He is also set to host Yelawolf’s upcoming Trunk Muzik mixtape which is receiving nothing but great reviews by those that have heard it so far.
